Weekend Wrap-Up
This weekend was rather busy but more than enjoyable. On Friday I went out to lunch with a friend, then caught up on some work in the afternoon. The evening was spent shopping in several bookstores, which as you can see from my previous post is one of my favourite things to do. Saturday was filled with apartment hunting with a friend, chatting and people watching at Tim Hortons, dinner with a wonderful couple of friends, and late night gab session with another friend (who got two thirds of a really swanky couch).
Today (after sleeping in), I went to a book launch and met up with some new and old acquaintances, shmoozed with a few authors, got some books signed, and had some really good beer. After the launch, we went out for a steak dinner (Al's reward for going to the launch with me) and then home for some TV watching (Desperate Housewives was good!) and curling up with a good book.
I'm relaxed and content about my weekend, ready to tackle this next week of work and chores. Can't wait for next weekend!

I Just love going to book launches or any type of literary outing where you get to meet the creatives. What a cool little pub. I am totally hooked on Desperate Housewives, but we are only in the very first season here in the UK!
Anyway - it sounded like you had a nice weekend.

Desperate Housewives WAS very good. Love that show. I'll probably be the first in line to buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Yeap, Desperate Housewives was a goodie. In fact, all of last Sunday night was choice, TV wise. I feel sorry for Marcia Cross too, though the buzz in the Gay press is that she really is gay. But then it's her business and no matter what, she's a good actress!
